Our History Waterfall Ranch

Waterfall Ranch Est. 1917

This ranch has been in the Zink family for over 105 years and we are still a working ranch where hay is grown as well as a Wetlands mitigation bank. The spa is located in the what used to be my grandparent’s home; it is unique and cosy, Grannie’s house.

The Waterfall runs all year, but is biggest in the springtime; with the thawing of winter snow. Pictured to the right is the original house that was at this location. The current home was built in 1985.

History

The ranch was purchased by John James Zink in 1917. He built the main ranch house in 1921, out of the rock pictured above that the woman is sitting on. My grandfather John worked the land and grew the ranch throughout his life, and my father, Ed, remodeled and expanded the ranch to become a wetlands sanctuary which houses wildlife and restores water quality.
